Wow, something from my childhood that was reminicent of the 50's genre, or at least the way some Americans wanted to view it HAS ACTUALLY PROGRESSED. ( Ron Howard from "Happy Days" made jokes about the fact that "...there were no black people in the fifties,...", making fun of the writers and producers for being so narrow minded.) Of course in the comic strip they stay teenagers for 60 years but interactial dating in Archie World? Can't help but be happy as well as be amazed.

I'm pretty amazed at seeing this as well! But I have to say bravo to the writers of Archie!!! I'm glad that some more comics - especially older/long-running ones are catching up too! Of course I read a few comics growing up (keep in mind that I'm 23) that had interracial relationships in them including WM/BW (Forge and Storm from X-Men...*The Uncanny X-Men* - I'm a nerd don't mind me. ^_^
 . Also not to mention one of my favorite comics of all time - besides X-Men called ElfQuest (if any of you guys read comics - you should definitely take a look at this one - ElfQuest isn't a kids comic that's for sure, I still love and re-read the series to this day) predominantly featured a WM/BW relationship between two of my favorite elves in the series Leetah and Cutter:  < - - - - one of the many pictures of them together).Sorry about how off the pictures and the text are in this post. I had to comment and post some pics as well. I love comics along with a bunch of other geeky stuff!!!
