Have you done everything you can to make your child(ren) happy? Are you discipline them, if so how?
When kids ask you to do something for them even though you disagree, would you do it anyhow?
For those child(ren) under 18 years old, would you let them get tatoos, pierced, poorly dressed, rebellion fashion? If so, why?
Have your kids done well, ok, so so, poorly in school? How did they do? Was it poor teachers, the school or was it your child's problem?
Do you read books nightly before they go to bed? Are they addicted to electronic games and how often they play electronic games weekly?
Are your kids actively involved with sports or not? explain what they have been doing
Have your kids tried drugs and alcohol? What did you do to help them get out of it or ?
Do tell.
Proman , you ask many good questions. I'll just answer as many as I can.
Have you done everything you can to make your child(ren) happy? I would say without hesitation yes. I think the most obvious example is how much I sacrifice for them. Most specifically, I am by nature a more ambitious, career-driven person, but I have been a stay at home mom and have worked part-time (currently part-time teaching) in order to have a schedule that affords me the most time with them. I would have remained on my previous career track, which required a very committed, hectic schedule, if it were not for the fact that I want to be there for my children as much as I can and hopefully help them grow into happy people. (Believe me this is not a rant about being a stay at home versus work outside the home mom. I have been both and both situations have perks and challenges!)
Discipline?I try to model the kind of character traits I'd like my children to have. I also talk to them quite a bit about my and my husband's feelings about being a compassionate and kind person among other things. When they make mistakes, we talk about it. When they are deliberately disrespectful or resistant to more positive guidance, I do withdraw priviledges.
Have your kids done well, ok, so so, poorly in school? My kids are young---my son is only seven (first grade) and my daughter will be five very shortly. So far my son is doing VERY well academically and performing far beyond his grade level.
Are your kids actively involved with sports or not? explain what they have been doing
I should have my kids involved more in sports as my son reminds me often, lol. I plan on trying out some leagues this summer for my son in particular. I haven't been very committed to this I'm afraid.
Tattoos and piercings?I don't know how I will feel about that when and if the time comes.
Nightly books? Electronic games? We definitely read nightly (and daily) books, so much so that I feel like I am going to lose my voice at times! I'm always the last to get up on technological gadgets, so my kids aren't much into electronic games.
